Our motion control team specializes in repairing motors, drives, and feedback components. Like all other repair facilities, we perform a meticulous evaluation on every unit we receive. We disassemble, clean, and thoroughly inspect both the complete assembly and the specific part in need of repair. Electrical, as well as mechanical, aspects are taken into consideration for a repair that addresses the long-term performance and reliability of your equipment. AME steps in where your OEM warranty leaves off. We provide repairs that meet, or in many cases, exceed OEM specifications. Because we understand the need to minimize your downtime, AME provides fast turnaround on all repairs.

Dynamometer Motor Benches are just one of the ways AME brings state-of-the-art motor repairs to you. Verify Dynamometer Motor Benches enable full load testing of motors and verify motor performance. In addition, high voltage surge tests check for extreme conditions motor winding.

We analyze and evaluate motors for vibration, temperature fluctuations, bore run-out and, of course, electronic integrity. Drives and power supplies of virtually any make or rating are repaired to OEM specifications and are load tested to check for proper voltage and current characteristics. Feedback components, such as tachometers, resolvers and incremental or absolute encoders, are checked and repaired. We also check and repair tape readers, weld controls, weld rectifiers and motor-driven portable welding equipment.

To complete the repair cycle, our trained technicians perform bench tests, as well as extensive system/closed-loop testing.
